During 2018, A1 Systems’ team has performed several projects related to the remote SIM management solutions. The largest companies in Russia and Middle Asia have become the company’s customers.
At the beginning of the year, A1 Systems launched the OTA platform, A1S OTA, and the SIM applet for managing roaming within Russian MVNO, Tinkoff Mobile. Together with Tinkoff Mobile’ engineers, the project team tested SIM applet loading on the IP channel. In comparison with the SMS channel, download speed has increased by 60 times, and the success of delivery and installation amounted to 98%.
In the late summer and the early autumn, the company’s engineers deployed the A1S OTA to the three MNOs in Middle Asia.
In November, together with the team of Sberbank Telecom LLC, the OTA campaign to update technical settings of SIM cards of current subscribers was done. Sberbank Telecom is a Russian MVNO, which started operating under the SberMobile brand in 2018. The operator was created by Sberbank PJSC – the largest bank in Russia. Sberbank services are used by more than 145 million customers in 22 countries throughout the world.
In December, the OTA campaign for the Russian MNVO, SIM SIM, was conducted. SIM SIM operates in the ethnic MVNO segment and provides visitors from the neighbor countries with favorable tariff plans for international calls.
