A1 Systems company and Russian MVNO Tinkoff Mobile announces successful commercial launch of remote SIM management solution A1S OTA and roaming steering solution.
A1S OTA solution allows to manage SIM cards remotely without physical SIM replacement. Solution reduces the risk of subscribers’ outflow, increases their loyalty and saves resources of MNO/MVNO.
During the project A1 Systems implemented all extra requirements of Tinkoff Mobile, including special security requirements and special custom API to connect with another MVNO’s systems. A1S OTA deployed at servers of Tinkoff Mobile as on-premises solution. Joint team successfully tested solution in LTE network. SIM applet download speed with BIP/CAT-TP or HTTPS channel exceeded the same operation speed with SMS channel more than 60 times. The success rate of data delivery was close to 100% in that case.
Together with the deployment of ОТА platform A1 Systems provided Tinkoff Mobile with the roaming steering solution based on its own SIM applet. SIM applet constantly analyzes network environment. When SIM applet detects registration in roaming network it automatically changes PLMN file on SIM so that the handset reregisters in the new roaming network with most optimal interconnect price. The MVNO technical and commercial staff also can remotely manage applet settings and priority networks lists with A1S OTA.
The roaming steering solution allows Tinkoff Mobile to increase service level and provide its subscribers with the best roaming voice & data tariffs while they are traveling abroad.
