A1 Systems carries out successful campaign of changing the mobile network code (MNC) for chosen group of CJSC Baykalwestcom subscribers. This is a necessary procedure for all regional Rostelecom subsidiaries to unify the networks codes. The MNC replacement was implemented using A1 Systems OTA platform remotely connected to the operator’s network.
OTA (over-the-air) platform is an important component of mobile operator infrastructure and helps to remotely manage subscribers’ SIM cards. The platform allows operators to implement massive distribution of service files, data and configuration settings for all types of mobile devices, to update SIM applets for launching new services. OTA platform allows operators to significantly improve time-to-market and to highly increase the penetration of services. The platform also helps to reduce costs and prevent churn when it’s necessary to operate with SIM cards of chosen group of subscribers as it is in case of Baykalwestcom. There is no need to invite the subscribers to visit the offices in order to change or upgrade the SIM cards due to the remote performance.
A1 Systems OTA platform gives all the advantages of over-the-air technology and allows mobile operators to avoid CAPEX using pay-as-you-go financial model billing for only updated SIM cards. A1 Systems specialists carry out OTA campaigns of any complexity providing detailed reports and option to inform subscribers about the new available services.
