As part of the project, A1 Systems has supplied a hardware-software complex of Interactive Cell Broadcast system to implement the service “Click” and acted as a content aggregator. Due to the service “Click”, “Tele2 Kazakhstan” can provide instant mass interactive communication with subscribers.
After launch of the service “Click”, subscribers of “Tele2 Kazakhstan” received an ability to quickly get news, weather reports, operator’s offers of new services and other useful information, depending on their preferences. To obtain the desired information, the user must choose relevant channels at his handset’s menu: Video, Entertainment, Humor, Music, Games, etc.
Already at the end of the first month, the share of revenue from ICB services has reached 17% of total sale revenues from SIM-menu services.
A1 Systems Interactive Cell Broadcast solution has several advantages over other communication channels. Distribution of informational messages can be both as point-multipoint, and with segmentation to a particular base station. This allows provide a location based services for subscribers. One CB-message can contain up to 15 pages with 93 characters in each (up to 1395 characters in total), and time of sending the message takes less than a minute. The message delivery time is the same for any amount of the users, i.e. millions of subscribers will be able to get an advertising message at the same time.
A1 Systems Company has a rich history in telecommunications market of Kazakhstan. In 2011, A1 Systems delivered a SIM-menu solution and content aggregation for the mobile operator Neo, which was later acquired by the international holding company Tele2. After the completion of the said deal, “Tele2 Kazakhstan” became a legal successor of partnership, and cooperation was continued.
In the new stage of cooperation, A1 Systems has launched a larger-scale project with the use of applet solutions – Interactive Cell Broadcast. For A1 Systems it is the second project of launching products based on ICB technology for Tele2 Group. Earlier, a similar product had been introduced in “Tele2 Russia”.
